Speak English Now Fluently

What most students do when they try to learn to speak English is to study grammar, ... to buy textbooks, or watch English on TV. But for the majority of the students, none of these methods prove to be effective.

1. Grammar does not help in real conversations, because you don't have time to apply complicated rules when you're having a conversation.

2. Textbooks are typically designed to help you pass an exam but they do not help you to speak English.

3. Watching TV in English doesn't make much sense if you don't understand virtually anything what they are saying.

And what happens if you use only the methods that don't work? You will certainly get extremely frustrated and, worst of all is that you might never get to speak English fluently.

This is Carmen statement, one of my first students. She was convinced that languages were not her biggest strength.

Mother of two children, she had very little time. Still, she had tried everything: correspondence courses, language academy, watching subtitled movies ...

Carmen's main problem was when she tried to speak in English. Every time she wanted to say something, she got blocked.

She made many mistakes; she translated mentally, and she couldn’t have a basic conversation in English.

At the same time, they try to use them.

Children learn with their ears, not with their eyes.

That's how you learn a language naturally.

What Carmen did most of the time is listen and talk a lot.
